Our skin relies upon "hyaluronic acid" to keep it looking firm supple and hydrated.
As our skin ages the production of this substance falls resulting in drier and thinner skin.
Restylane© products replace the "hyaluronic acid" in the form of a crystal clear gel that is injected with an extra fine needle into the skin.
Each dermal filler must be injected into specific layers of the skin correctly in order to achieve the best result.
At GiGi London-MA we predominantly use dermal fillers such as Restylane©, but may use other brands where appropriate, to treat wrinkles and facial lines and contours.
Wrinkle injections will reduce the wrinkles and creases that occur when you frown, raise your eyebrows and smile.
The dermal fillers are used to fill out and smooth away fine and deep creases created by wrinkles and lines that are noticeable even when facial expressions are not being made. They are known as resting lines.
Dermal fillers will create beautifully shaped lips by reducing the fine lines that encroach upon the lip margins and creating fullness.
We specialise in using dermal fillers that enable us to achieve the degree of enhancement that you want to achieve - be it simple contouring to smooth out lines or create a more dramatic look.
Using the appropriate combination of dermal fillers the following
problem areas can be effectively treated:
- crows feet at the corner of the eyes
- frown lines between the eyebrows
- smokers lines which are vertical lines on the top lip
- marionette lines at the corner of the mouth
- worry lines that run across the forehead
- shape and fullness to lips
- acne scars
- depressions or pockmarks in the skin due to injury or disease, for example, chickenpox marks
- unevenness in the skin after surgery or skin grafting other facial lines
There are a wide variety of dermal fillers available and Dr Naik will need to assess your skin carefully at your consultation.
At GiGi London-MA we only use man made fillers as they do not require skin test prior to treatment.
Restylane©, allow the treatment to administered efficiently with little discomfort and recovery time providing instant and impressive results. One treatment generally lasts between six to twelve months after which you may require to repeat the treatment. Over time, the effects last longer and you should need to retreat areas less frequently.
Anaesthesia
At GiGi London-MA we will use dental blocks for pain free dermal filler lip and mouth area treatments. The dental block is a safe local anaesthetic which is applied prior to receiving treatment. Anaesthetic cream is applied to the skin prior to treatment with dermal filler elsewhere.
